Xavier Ruiz

Xavier Ruiz, 16, gained his wings on February 20, 2026 

He was born on May 12,2009 in Chicago IL, to Maria Mendez and Aldo Ruiz. He was brother to Aldo Jr, Lalanie, Romeo and Elijah. He was a sweet and kind-hearted boy who was loved by many. He found joy in music, being taken to veiw the outdoors, and laughing with his brothers and sister. His gentle nature, big smile, and loving heart will always be remembered.

Xavier is survived by his mother, Maria Mendez; siblings, Aldo Jr, Lalanie, Romeo and Elijah. His is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Lydia and Julio Mendez; his paternal grandmother, Gladyes Lopez; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Aldo Ruiz Lopez and paternal grandfather Roman Ruiz.

Though his time with us was far too short, Xavier’s love and teachings will remain in our hearts forever. He is tucked up safe, away from harm, in our heavenly home.

Visitation for Xavier Ruiz will be Thursday February 26, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Northlake Funeral Home. Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Committal service with burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake.
