Nora Kornesczuk, 97, a loving and caring individual, passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion. She will be deeply missed. She was comfort and warmth in human form. Loved to be silly with a good prank, hosted every gathering, and never let anyone else pay. Her endless love was shown through her candy dish, handwritten notes with a dollar or scratch-of tucked inside, and slurpees from 7-Eleven. Deeply faithful and independent, she prayed the rosary, attended adoration, kept her house immaculate, and somehow always knew when someone needed encouragement. Her phone conversations were legendary. She laughed easily and made you feel completely loved just by being in the room with her. And if you left hungry, you clearly had not stayed long enough to have homemade bread, rigatoni, or ravioli. We know Jaja is dancing the polka with his “Sweetie Pie” tonight.
